In the third edition of the ‘Fieragricola Innovation Award’ PigExpert wins the Golden Leaf – best price – in the category Animal husbandry. In total, ten Golden Leafs and eleven Silver Leafs have been allocated to distinctive innovative products in the agricultural sector.
The prizes will be awarded during the Fieragricola, an agricultural fair in Verona, Italy. The market has recognized the Fieragricola as a landmark within the European trade fair scene where it can focus on every sector in the agricultural and livestock world.
Golden Leaf in Animal husbandry
An expert commission judged the submitted products in the Innovation Award among others on innovative content, economic sustainability, quality improvement and functionality from the user's point of view. PigExpert, pig management software from the Dutch company AgriSyst, is distributed in Italy by AgriSyst dealer Hermitage Italia Technologies. Gianluca Demontis, consultant pig management of Hermitage Italia, explains what Pig Expert does: “With PigExpert it is possible to track and trace the end product from semen to slaughterhouse. The program contains all the necessary data to manage the pig farm real time and to focus on economic and technical results. The input is recorded directly in the barn via a mobile device. Double registration belongs therefore to the past and the chance of errors is smaller.”

“But the biggest gain is in the complete package of analysis, reporting and support that the we offer”, Gianluca continues. “We are truly unique in the service that comes with the program.” PigExpert provides a weekly report and a team of data experts is always available to support the pig farmer. The graphical representation of results and actions in a dashboard helps the pig farmer to work goal-oriented and to plan activities in a well-organized manner. Gianluca is very proud that PigExpert is awarded with a Golden Leaf. “It shows that with PigExpert we offer an innovative management program for pig farmers, which really helps them in their daily work and improving the technical and economic results at the farm.”
Fieragricola 2020
Visitors to the exhibition can experience a demo version of PigExpert at the Hermitage Italia stand, Pavilion 11, Stand B3. The Fieragricola is organized for the 114th time and takes place from the 29th of January until the 1rd of February. Opening times are from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm. The Fieragricola is held at Veronafiere exhibition centre, Viale del Lavoro 8 - 37135 Verona (Italy). All the price winning novelties at the Fieragricola will be marked with a plaque on the stand.
